This week’s edit will be a bit different as I’m dedicating it entirely to the upcoming Balmain x H&M Collaboration. It’s just worth it,point 😉 When the first leaks and sneak peeks including prices, started to drop on Instagram and on other Social Media platforms, I wasn’t really feeling this collection. As much as I was psyched for the collection to finally arrive,as much it looked a bit over the top for an average person’s wardrobe. It seemed a bit to runway-y for my taste and I was confident that I could skip it without remorse. Now with the entire look-book being revealed and the runway show on Periscope on top, it’s a different story.
Believe it or not,but I’ve already made plans with a friend about lining up, just as I did last year. After all it was a very fun experience, because the atmosphere in front of the store was filled with expectations, thrill and anticipation and the closer the opening time came, the more I felt a slight tension in the air. And the hunt for the wanted pieces itself was plain fun as well. I’m seriously craving a few of these power, stand-out dresses and shirts that come with an overload of embellishments, ropes, beads and pearls. Shall I say perfect for the festive days that are about to come? Well of course there’s something day-appropriate as well, such as the white wool blazer or the black velvet one. And guess I’ll also make a quick stop at the men’s corner since the sneakers turned out to be in my favorite color of the season.
If you’re not into the whole H&M Collaboration thing, but still don’t want to pay full price for Balmain, because, let’s be honest, prices are out of this world, then don’t worry, there’s rescue: One of my favorite stores frequently gets a bunch of Balmain in,but at a fraction of retail price.
