Well hello there new week and hello icy temperatures. Winter’s definitely upon us right now and with the first snow comes the struggle to turn out the warm and comfy bed in the morning and get ready for the day. While I’ve been successfully avoiding to step out into the bitter cold during the weekend, except for a quick stop at Sephora, I can hardly stay in my favorite sweatpants and comfy socks for the five coming days. So time to get dressed.
Preferably wearing a thick roll-neck sweater, chunky boots and a huge wrap-around scarf during winter, I challenged myself on Saturday for a more dressy look. That is a pair of jeans with holes ( do i even own a pair without?!) my sales-find booties and this grey fluffy vest with a pussy-bow blouse underneath. The Valentino Rockstud tote was also part of the game and this not only because it’s powdery pink goes so well with the rest of the look. I just find myself very drawn towards the bigger bags in my collection once the temperatures hit rock bottom. Thermos bottle, gloves, cashmere hat and hand-warmers are the essentials in my bag these days and these things sure need space. Nevertheless the Valentino even had some extra room for my itty bitty Sephora haul. So yeah, huge totes are my favorites right now.
PS: My sister thought that this feathery vest made me look like a little penguin and I guess I can live with that comparison because penguins are adorably cute, aren’t they?
