The Edit

February 9, 2015

I knew things were getting serious once the genius, Tom Ford, incorporated flared trousers in his newest campaign. And now that some of my absolute favorite fashion bloggers are already rocking them with either leather jackets or 70ies inspired accessories, there’s no way to ignore the comeback of the wide leg jeans. I’ve always been a huge fan of this cut as it, surprisingly, often makes the legs look more skinny than some pair of skinny jeans do. Therefor I was only hopping on the slim pants train super late a few years ago, and it was only when flared pants became unavailable somehow, that I dared to try these almost leggingesque pairs of pants. I must say that I can’t wait to start crawling in my closet to make the flared pants see the light of day again. Yes, I did it, I kept around three of them and my mind is already exploding on ideas how to wear them.

Bottom line: I’m happy that the flared jeans are back, even if they hide the shoes and that’s got to be the only negative point for me about them. How do you feel about this comeback?FotordCreated flared denim inspiration pants 70 comeback

I remember the days I only wore flared jeans :) right now I only wear skinny and straight jeans, but a flared jeans still looks great on a pair of high heeled boots! Nice inspiration!
