Stepping into the valley of broccoli,chicken and rice isn’t an easy step. In fact, you wouldn’t imagine how hard that one, single,simple step is. Being two weeks into my first competition preparation, I slowly get to realize what I got myself into, and while this is and will remain a fashion-blog, I decided to take you guys with me through my own journey to stage for the weeks that are to come and I hope that you like this insight into my, actual, daily life.

I just feel like writing everything down helps to master my mind for this first contest-preparation,because, even if the very demanding work-outs lift my mood each and every day, I still slightly struggle when it comes to the food. Getting used to not taking the box of cookies off the shelves after a long day at work or sticking to a glass of water while all you’re craving for is a hot chocolate with extra chocolate topped with chocolate flakes, can be hard at times. But I guess it’s just something that will get easier each and every day. Or maybe it won’t and it’s all part of the process and I just have to overcome these light cravings each and every time. We’ll see about that.

My days right now consist in sleeping, eating, getting to work, training afterwards and cooking. Just like they say: eat,sleep,train,repeat… and try to sneak in a little time for the blog as well. Sometimes I find myself wondering where I take all this time from, but I think that the key is organization and a lot of planning. I usually prepare my meals for two or three days in advance, depending on my meal plan, and while the potatoes are boiling, I pack my gym-bag or get everything else ready for the day after. I’m definitely trying to use the time I have in the most efficient way, so watching series and shooting outfits is postponed to the weekend, as these are my days off both work and gym.

Right now I’m fourteen days into this preparation and there’s still a few more weeks of hard work ahead, but I’m pretty much excited about it, because yesterday’s check-up gave me such an incredible push. One could say that it was already a first little success on this long road. My body-fat percentage dropped down another 2% and my overall shape has also gone through a big change already. My coach was super satisfied and so was I. Happy coach, happy me.

Another highlight from this week: My competition suit which is the sparkliest thing I’ve ever seen finally arrived. I ordered it from Glamfitbikinis at the end of December and their work is genius for real. If you follow me on Snapchat (Fashionbarbecue) then you could already get a glimpse at which color and design I chose.

I think this preparation is one of the hardest things I’ll ever do but in the end I just want to live out that goal I set myself. And this will be a reward for itself.

      Vielen Dank liebe Melanie :) Ich trage es oft zum Sport,allerdings ist der Hoodie immer schnell weg da er doch etwas warm ist :) Eigentlich ideal zum draussen Sport machen :)

    Seriously jealous of your motivation! When I decide to have a detox or a diet period, I cannot stick to it more than 5 days without a dinner out or a glass of wine.. I suppose this is the reason because I have never finally got to the results I wanted 😛
