MY FITNESS JOURNEY: PART 3

March 2, 2016

Today I’m not going to provide you with a form update, instead I wanted to address a topic that’s quite of a big importance to me. As you know I only accept collaborations from brands whom I trust and who are sincere towards their customers. This means that I decline around 70% of the offers I receive, also because I often can’t identify myself and the blog with them. So the past couple of days I’ve been contacted several times by different companies that sell, so-called, Detox-Skinny-Fit-Slim-Teas and Coffee. Now what’s the fuzz with these?

To anticipate : Their offer as such wasn’t that bad. They proposed me a bunch of free stuff together with the promise of a high commission for each sale generated through my promotion, if I would join their ambassadorship and publish photos with their products on Instagram and on various other platforms that I use. If it would have been for the fortune&fame I would have jumped directly on that bandwagon. But that’s just not who I am.

I’ve done my profound research, as I always do when a new brand approaches me, and came to the conclusion that these companies are fooling their customers big time. Not only do they promise you quick weight-loss and fat burn, but they also claim that your body will get rid of toxins and that you’ll see stunning results in just 5 days. I believe every half-sane person knows that this is plain bullshit. Sorry for my wording here, but it just makes me so angry how people are being mislead and, on top of that, I’m on a diet and very moody.

You won’t lose weight, you won’t get fit and you surely won’t look like the girls in their Instagram feed by spending your hard-earned money on these drinks. First the detox fact: It’s your liver that takes care of the real detoxification of substances, not a a cup of tea that you drink in the morning and evening. Second: the weight-loss. You will lose weight and fat by eating the right amount of foods your body needs and by exercising regularly, not by sipping on a tea twice a day. You might notice a slight drop on the scale while consuming these products, but this can be due to either the fact that you’re drinking a bit more than usually, or because the tea has it’s base on laxatives and this can be super dangerous and cause nutrient-depletion.

What else is there? Very often these Tea-tox brands take photos from random people that have never even touched their product, only to share ”success-stories” and make people think that their stuff actually works. As already stated in the beginning, they pay their ambassadors pretty well, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that they make huge efforts to convince you to purchase that product. Also, there’s no concrete description of the ingredients on most packaging and many of these products have never undergone any scientific testing. Are you really willing to put unknown substances into your body? I doubt that.

Bottom line, and this I promise: You will never ever see me holding a stupid cup filled with that damn tea/coffee. No matter how great the deal, no matter how high the commission, I won’t sell my soul to one of these dumb scam companies.

And for anyone who does it : Shame on you for fooling your readers and PS: All these pictures with people holding the packaging look awkwardly unnatural and stupid!

I totally agrees: I love tea but this detox/weigloss promises are just bullshit. I takes hard work and a healthy diet to become fit and to loose weight.
