My discovery of the week, that deserves an article on its own,is a new social media platform called Opinit which has the potential to become the next big thing. What’s so special about it? It’s the first an only mobile application that’s emotion-based and that allows you to rate content by leaving vibes. As opposed to Instagram, this app is( still) showing real life moments and not the standard picture-perfect photo.
The founders have taken good care of the bloggers needs if I might say so,as you’ll get an overview on how many people have actually seen your share in the first place. Many users tend to look at a picture but don’t feel like liking or commenting it. This feature gives you an insight on how many people you reach and that might be interesting for brand-collaborations, if you take it a step further.
The discovery page is all about finding posts and articles that are appealing to you. You can do so by either selecting what’s popular, meaning which post has received lots of vibes or views but you can also select an emotion which will then get you a ton of results reflecting this exact emotion.
The profile itself shows your followers, views and of course all you’ve shared in a user-friendly design. People can leave vibes on your shares as well as comments. And what makes interacting even more easy is the reply-button that will post your answer straight-away to the right person.
What I personally like a lot is the webgrab-function. Just look for the article or website you feel like sharing, select the right frame and off you go. This is another feature that I consider as a huge path forward, especially for bloggers, since you do not only get to share your photo from a recent article, but you can also include part of your text to make people more curious about your newest post.
After selecting your picture you can add some text and edit it’s font, text color as well as the background color. What’s also super innovative is the 30sec voice message that you can leave, but you can also add your favorite tune.
As of now it’s only available for Iphone users but an Android version seems to be released quite soon. I won’t be going into any more details as I want you to discover this great app on your own. Download it directly here and you can find me under Fashionbarbecue of course,so see you there 😉
