You know how they say that you shouldn’t chase each and every trend?Well I like to try out everything at least once to see how and if it works for me. And the current, okay it’s not that current as it was bound since winter, 70ies comeback is totally my cup of tea. Simply think freedom, wild and raw rock’n roll and music festivals.
I never would have expected the wide leg jeans to return this big. But that’s the cycle of fashion, nothing’s really gone forever, some things just take a little time-out before they make a huge come back. I remember that a few years ago I had a hard time of letting these jeans go and it was only until they were nowhere to be found that I squeezed myself into the first pair of skinny jeans. Don’t get me wrong, skinny jeans are awesome since they look good on every single one but there’s just something special about a bell bottom pair of jeans.
Skinny on the legs and flattering around the hips, they make your legs long for days and add the right curves to the right places. And if you’re pairing them with high sole shoes you totally get that Woodstock-70ies-vibe. I confess that it felt weird to put on this 7-years old pair of denim again, but considering that, first, I still fit into them and, second, that they make my legs look so long, I officially declare my new found adoration for them. To celebrate their resurgence I stuck with something super simple: white shirt, black heels for a more polished look and the usual tassel bag. Wouldn’t want to go too experimental for the first try.
