flared jeans blogger

Good morning everyone. I’m starting this third week of July by introducing you to a brand that’s absolutely new to me: Woodwatches by Jord. After I got contacted by their kind team if I wanted to add a time-piece made out of sustainable material to my watch-stack, I was very curious to discover their collection and learn more about their design process and story, but I also was a bit skeptical at first to be honest . I mean a watch made out of nothing but wood? Had to see that one first-hand.

It took a little more than a week until this maple one landed in my mailbox. After opening the pretty box it comes in (pretty boxes are a huge plus!) I found a super light-weight and comfortable to wear timepiece that I could take out right away since it was already customized to match my wrist. Now that’s a great and useful service. All of their watches are handcrafted so the quality is fine as well. For me it makes up for a nice addition to the summer wardrobe and I knew from the beginning that it would need a boho look around it,so I opted for the Spell Australia Kimono, some platform sandals and a black floppy hat.

My plans for today include going to sweat the hell out of me at the gym, to get rid of that bad conscience feeling from indulging too much over the weekend.Other than that I’ll be super busy trying to find a decent hotel in New York that won’t cost a fortune. Prices are so insane at the moment and I’m definitely debating whether to take the risk and go all last-minute or to just book, lie back and relax. Last year, the last-minute plan worked quite fine as I was able to save around 50%on the initial rate.  Do you have any hotels that you would recommend?
